JOB DESCRIPTION :
We are seeking highly qualified and passionate Faculty Members to teach French Language You will design curriculum, deliver engaging lectures, and evaluate student progress. This role requires native or near-native language proficiency and a strong academic background.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver Lectures: Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural nuances.
- Develop Curriculum: Design lesson plans, course materials, and syllabi.
- Assess Progress: Create, administer, and grade exams, quizzes, and assignments.
- Mentor Students: Provide academic guidance, feedback, and remedial support.
- Foster Engagement: Organize cultural events, language clubs, and interactive activities.
- Update Skills: Participate in professional development workshops and academic research.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: A Ph.D. in French Literature, French Linguistics, Francophone Studies, or Second Language Acquisition.
- Language Fluency: Near-native or native fluency in spoken and written French (DALF C2 level or equivalent).
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching French at the university or college level is highly preferred.
- Research Record: A demonstrated track record of scholarly publications or strong research potential.
Key Skills
- Academic Expertise: Deep understanding of Francophone history, culture, literary theory, and pedagogy.
- Public Speaking: Excellent communication skills to deliver lectures clearly to diverse groups of students.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage grading timelines, research goals, and administrative deadlines simultaneously.
Mentorship & Administration
- Student Advising: Mentor students on academic progress, career opportunities, and study abroad programs.
- Thesis Supervision: Guide undergraduate or postgraduate students through their research papers and thesis.
