Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled CNC Turn-Mill operator/programmer to set up, operate, and maintain CNC turn-mill machines for precision machining of components. The candidate should be able to read technical drawings, prepare programs (if required), and ensure quality output as per engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Setup
Set up and operate CNC turn-mill machines (multi-tasking CNC lathes with milling capability)
Load raw materials and install proper workholding devices (chucks, collets, fixtures)
Set tool offsets, work offsets, and perform first-piece setup verification
Ensure correct tooling selection for machining operations
Programming (if applicable)
Read and interpret CNC programs (G-code / M-code)
Modify or create programs using controls like Fanuc / Siemens / Mazak (or similar)
Optimize programs for cycle time and tool life
Simulate and verify programs before execution
Quality Control
Inspect components using measuring instruments like:
Vernier caliper
Micrometer
Height gauge
Dial gauge
Ensure parts meet drawing tolerances and GD&T requirements
Maintain inspection records and report deviations
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform basic preventive maintenance of CNC machines
Identify and resolve machining issues like tool wear, chatter, or alignment errors
Report major breakdowns to maintenance team
Production & Safety
Achieve daily/shift production targets
Follow 5S and shop-floor safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of machine and work area
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering (preferred)
Experience: 2–5 years in CNC Turn-Mill / Multi-axis machining
Strong knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools
Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances
Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc / Siemens / Mazak / Heidenhain preferred)
Preferred Skills
Experience with multi-axis simultaneous machining
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, NX, or similar)
Exposure to aerospace / automotive precision components
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Work Conditions
Shift-based work (including night shifts if required)
Shop-floor environment with CNC machinery noise and coolant exposure
Safety PPE mandatory
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
