About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous and quality-driven QA/Test Engineer to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of existing and upcoming software platforms through comprehensive testing and validation activities. The role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and deployment testing for web and application-based platforms.
- Develop detailed test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
- Execute manual test cases, identify software defects, and ensure timely reporting and resolution.
- Validate Change Requests (CRs) and verify enhancements before production deployment.
- Conduct deployment and release testing to ensure production readiness and system stability.
- Track, document, and manage defects using defect management tools while coordinating with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-related inputs during the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain testing documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing methodologies, and organizational best practices.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment verification activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience in manual testing, defect identification, reporting, and tracking.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of test case design techniques, test execution, and test reporting.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools such as Postman is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data validation techniques.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple testing activities within project timelines.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
