Core Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, providing immediate care for emergencies and urgent cases.
- Emergency Response: Act as the first responder to medical crises, stabilizing patients before specialist involvement.
- Medical Procedures: Perform examinations, administer medications, conduct minor surgeries, and manage wound care.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient conditions and ensure timely administration of treatments.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other staff for coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and ensure compliance.
- Patient & Family Education: Counsel patients and families about conditions, treatments, side effects, and follow-up care.
- Shift Management: Oversee medical activities during their shift, ensuring smooth workflow.
