About the Role
Custiv is looking for a
Quality Inspector
to inspect manufactured components at our supplier facilitiesand ensure they meet customer drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involvesworking closely with suppliers, project teams, and customers to ensure high-quality products aredelivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Perform dimensional and visual inspection of components at supplier facilities.
Inspect machined components, castings, forgings, sheet metal parts, fabricated components,plastic injection molded parts, and assemblies.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection requirements.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and workmanship against customer drawings and qualitystandards.
Use standard inspection instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges,Bore Gauges, Dial Indicators, Thread Gauges, and other measuring equipment.
Prepare and submit inspection reports with measurement records and photographs.
Coordinate with supplier quality teams to resolve inspection findings and non-conformities.
Verify material certificates, inspection reports, and other quality documentation.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and final inspection activities.
Ensure products meet quality requirements before dispatch.
Coordinate with Project Management and Engineering teams on inspection status and qualityissues.
Travel to supplier facilities for inspections as required.
Requirements
ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech
in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relateddiscipline.
1–3 years of experience
in Quality Inspection, Manufacturing Quality, or Supplier Quality.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is mandatory.
Basic knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection is preferred.
Hands-on experience using standard measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers,Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Dial Indicators, Thread Gauges, and othermeasuring equipment.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, casting, forging, sheet metalfabrication, plastic injection molding, and fabrication.
Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel frequently to supplier locations.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office is preferred.
