Job Overview
We are hiring a structured and detail-oriented NPD Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Miraj, Sangli. This engineering role focuses on supporting new product development (NPD) activities within a modern machine shop environment. You will be responsible for defining efficient process planning, rigorous validation protocols, and engineering optimization to ensure smooth execution from raw prototypes to full-scale production.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Documentation: Prepare, review, and organize comprehensive APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submission documentation.
- Process Planning: Develop and optimize manufacturing sequences and workflows for all incoming new products.
- Trial Management: Drive shop-floor productivity during NPD trials (MDT) utilizing structured 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) optimization techniques.
- Machining Strategy: Prepare and approve NC programs, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), error-proofing mechanisms (Poka-Yoke), and tailored machining strategies.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure process performance with a strict Right First Time (RFT) execution approach to minimize shop floor scrap.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement cost-effective manufacturing strategies and continuous cycle-time improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in process engineering or new product development inside a precision machining environment.
- Technical Standards: Strong foundational knowledge of APQP/PPAP frameworks, process validation protocols, and manufacturing quality control tools.
- Machining Systems: Experience building NC programming strategies, mapping process flows, and implementing Poka-Yoke solutions.
- Core Competencies: Strong data analytical habits paired with clear technical communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
