About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in designing industrial machines. The candidate should be capable of preparing complete machine designs, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and production documentation. Candidates who can create both CAD drawings and manual engineering drawings will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Design industrial machinery and machine components.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Create assembly drawings, part drawings, and exploded views.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Design fabrication and machining drawings for production.
- Develop new machine concepts and improve existing machine designs.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and machining teams.
- Resolve design-related issues on the shop floor.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
- Ensure designs comply with manufacturing and quality requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory).
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, or similar CAD software.
- Ability to prepare manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of shafts, bearings, gears, couplings, pulleys, chains, sprockets, belts, and fasteners.
- Understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and sheet metal processes.
- Knowledge of tolerances, fits, clearances, and GD&T.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Candidates who can prepare manual engineering drawings on drawing sheets will be preferred.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- ITI Draftsman Mechanical candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
Experience
- 1–8 Years in Machine Design, Industrial Machinery Design, SPM, Hydraulic Machines, Press Machines, Die Casting Machines, or related industries.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in Die Casting Machines, Hydraulic Presses, Power Presses, Forging Machines, and Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle complete design projects.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
