1. Job Purpose
To create, maintain, verify and control Production BOMs and Item Masters in SAP Business One, ensuring accurate material, component, process and inventory data for smooth production, purchasing, stores and costing operations.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Production BOM Management
- Create and maintain Production BOMs in SAP B1.
- Prepare BOMs for pipe support clamps, lined clamps, plain clamps, U-bolts, channels and other manufactured products.
- Ensure correct RM, WIP, FG, consumables and packing material are included in the BOM.
- Verify BOM quantities, UOM, item codes and component specifications.
- Update BOMs based on approved engineering or production changes.
- Compare BOM consumption with actual production consumption and highlight variances.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, QC and Accounts for BOM-related issues.
B. Item Master Management
- Create new Item Masters in SAP B1 as per company coding standards.
- Maintain correct item descriptions, specifications, UOM, item groups and inventory settings.
- Ensure correct classification of Raw Material, WIP, Finished Goods, Consumables, Packing Material and Scrap.
- Avoid duplicate or incorrect item codes.
- Verify item master details before PO, GRN, Issue, Receipt and Production transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation and approval for all new item creations and changes.
C. SAP B1 Activities
- Support Production and Stores teams in SAP B1 transactions related to BOM and Item Master.
- Check production orders against approved BOMs.
- Monitor material issues and production receipts for BOM accuracy.
D. Production & Inventory Coordination
- Work closely with the Production team to understand actual manufacturing
- Ensure process-wise material requirements are correctly reflected in the system.
- Identify differences between BOM quantity vs actual consumption.
- Provide reports on material variance and abnormal consumption.
Pay: ₹15,121.42 - ₹30,391.36 per month
