The Mines Foreman in marble mining operations is responsible for overseeing day-to-day mining activities, ensuring safe and efficient extraction of marble, supervising mine personnel, and maintaining compliance with environmental, safety, and operational regulations. The foreman acts as a key link between management and mining crews, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of mining teams, including machine operators, laborers, and support staff.
- Plan and schedule mining operations to optimize marble extraction and meet production goals.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of mining equipment, machinery, and tools; report maintenance needs.
- Monitor extraction processes to prevent loss, waste, or damage to marble blocks.
- Train and mentor mining personnel, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of production, workforce attendance, and mining activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and geologists for efficient resource extraction.
- Report daily progress, incidents, and challenges to the Mine Manager.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in mining or Mines Foreman.
- Experience with explosives and controlled blasting (if applicable).
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in marble quarries, exposed to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- Regular use of mining machinery and equipment.
- Shift work may be required depending on operational needs.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
