Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and target-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead business development activities, generate new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in B2B and B2C sales, preferably in the renewable energy, electrical, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through field sales, networking, referrals, digital leads, and channel partners.
- Meet prospective customers to understand their energy requirements and recommend suitable renewable energy solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers in coordination with the technical team.
- Negotiate pricing and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective customers.
- Coordinate with project execution and operations teams to ensure smooth project handover.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
- Recruit, mentor, and guide Sales Executives whenever assigned.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Submit daily activity reports, weekly pipeline reports, and monthly sales performance reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA (Marketing) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Sales or Business Development.
- Experience in Solar Energy, Electrical Products, Renewable Energy, Construction, Infrastructure, HVAC, Engineering, Capital Equipment, or Industrial Solutions will be preferred.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets.
