Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Tour Consultant – Domestic FIT/GIT to handle individual travellers as well as group tour enquiries across India.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Domestic Tour Packages, with strong knowledge of domestic destinations, hotels, transportation, sightseeing, itinerary planning, costing, and customer handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle enquiries for Domestic FIT (Free Independent Traveller) and GIT (Group Inclusive Tour) packages.
- Understand customer requirements and prepare suitable itineraries and tour packages.
- Design customized domestic holiday packages based on customer preferences and budgets.
- Prepare quotations, costing sheets, and proposals accurately.
- Coordinate with hotels, transport operators, DMCs, sightseeing providers, and other vendors.
- Negotiate competitive rates with suppliers and ensure profitable package pricing.
- Follow up with customers regularly and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Handle group departures, including accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, meals, guides, and other arrangements.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of confirmed tours.
- Maintain proper records of enquiries, bookings, payments, cancellations, and customer communication.
- Provide destination information, travel guidance, and recommendations to customers.
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues before, during, and after travel.
- Promote company packages, special departures, seasonal offers, and new destinations.
- Work towards achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and encourage repeat and referral business.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian domestic destinations and tour packages.
- Good knowledge of hotels, transportation, sightseeing, and local attractions.
- Strong experience in itinerary preparation, package costing, and quotations.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and bookings simultaneously.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, email, CRM, and travel booking systems.
- Target-oriented with a strong focus on sales conversion and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Travel & Tourism or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Domestic Tour Packages is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in Domestic FIT/GIT Sales, Package Costing, Itinerary Preparation, and Operations is preferred.
- Candidates with proven domestic tour sales performance and strong destination knowledge will be given preference.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about travel, confident in sales, customer-focused, and capable of independently handling Domestic FIT and GIT enquiries from initial enquiry through final tour completion.
