We are looking for an experienced Senior Transport Executive to manage day-to-day transportation operations for our dairy business. The candidate will be responsible for vehicle planning, transporter coordination, route management, delivery monitoring, and ensuring timely movement of milk and milk products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily transport and vehicle operations for milk and milk products
- Plan and allocate vehicles based on dispatch requirements and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, distributors, and sales teams
- Monitor vehicle movement and ensure timely delivery to distributors and customers
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to reduce transportation cost and improve efficiency
- Monitor vehicle availability, utilization, and trip schedules
- Maintain records of vehicle trips, mileage, fuel, loading, unloading, and delivery status
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Production, Sales, and Stores teams for smooth logistics operations
- Monitor vehicle breakdowns, delays, and delivery issues and arrange alternatives when required
- Verify transport bills, trip sheets, and supporting documents
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with vehicle documentation, safety requirements, and company transport policies
- Maintain transport MIS and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management
- Handle transporter performance monitoring and resolve operational issues
- Support cold-chain transportation requirements for dairy products
Qualification
- Any Degree / Diploma
- Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or Operations will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Transport / Logistics operations
- Experience in Dairy / FMCG / Food Manufacturing preferred
- Experience in handling multiple vehicles, transporters, and delivery routes preferred
