Experience & Abilities
- Minimum 10 years of experience in luxury couture, bridal couture, or premium designer fashion.
- Proven expertise in designing and developing structured silhouettes, including corsetry, gowns, jackets, tailored separates, and sculpted Indian couture.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, draping, pattern development, fit, and couture finishing.
- Extensive experience working with hand embroidery techniques such as zardozi, aari, beadwork, sequins, appliqué, and surface embellishments.
- Ability to translate creative concepts into technically executable garments while maintaining exceptional fit and craftsmanship.
- Proficient in fabric selection, textile development, trims, embellishments, and luxury material sourcing.
- Experience managing the complete design process—from concept, sketching, sampling, fittings, and production to final delivery.
- Skilled at conducting multiple client fittings and making design and construction adjustments to achieve a couture-level finish.
- Strong knowledge of both Indian and Western couture, with the ability to seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior designers, pattern makers, and artisans while coordinating effectively with production teams.
- Excellent illustration and presentation skills, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and technical drawing.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under deadlines without compromising quality.
