Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with strong experience in embedded C/C++ development to design, develop, integrate and maintain software for a range of industrial, electronic, measurement, testing and inspection equipment.
The candidate will work closely with hardware, firmware, electronics, mechanical and QA teams to develop reliable and user-friendly equipment.
Experience with a specific industry/domain is not mandatory. Candidates from industrial automation, instrumentation, electronics, testing & measurement, automotive, robotics, medical equipment, or other embedded product development backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded software using C/C++.
- Develop software for embedded controllers and industrial electronic equipment.
- Integrate software with sensors, displays, controllers and other electronic hardware.
- Develop and maintain applications for Embedded Linux and/or Windows Embedded platforms.
- Interface with hardware using UART, RS232/RS485, SPI, I²C, Ethernet, USB, CAN and similar protocols.
- Develop communication interfaces and device-control software.
- Perform hardware-software integration, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Develop real-time applications and optimize system performance.
- Work with data acquisition, sensors, encoders, ADC/DAC and measurement systems.
- Develop equipment control, monitoring, data logging and user-interface functions.
- Support calibration, verification, diagnostics and equipment testing.
- Participate in software architecture and technical design decisions.
- Review code and mentor junior software engineers.
- Collaborate with hardware, electronics, firmware and QA teams for complete product development.
- Prepare software design documents, architecture diagrams, test procedures and technical documentation.
- Maintain source code using Git or other version-control systems.
- Support product testing, field troubleshooting and software releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or related field.
- 4–5 years of relevant embedded software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware-software interaction.
- Experience with Embedded Linux and/or Windows Embedded platforms.
- Good understanding of communication protocols such as:
- UART
- RS232/RS485
- SPI
- I²C
- Ethernet/TCP-IP
- USB
- CAN
- Experience with debugging embedded hardware and software.
- Good understanding of RTOS and real-time application concepts.
- Experience working with electronic hardware and development boards.
- Familiarity with Git/version-control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Linux device drivers.
- BSP customization.
- Bootloader development.
- Firmware upgrade mechanisms.
- GUI/HMI development.
- Data acquisition systems.
