We are seeking a dedicated Social Science Teacher for our boarding school. Teaching boarding students requires empathy, commitment and a guiding approach that goes beyond academics.
The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons by integrating General Awareness, current affairs, storytelling, visual aids and activity-based learning. Lessons should be interactive and discussion-driven, encouraging students to think critically rather than relying solely on question-and-answer methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science (History, Geography, Civics and related areas as applicable)
- Prepare interactive lesson plans using stories, visuals, maps, charts and real-life examples
- Integrate General Awareness and current events into daily lessons
- Encourage classroom discussions, debates and active student participation
- Mentor and guide boarding students with care, discipline and responsibility
- Support students’ academic, emotional and social development
- Coordinate with academic and residential staff as required

- Strong subject knowledge in Social Science
- Ability to make lessons engaging and student-friendly
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Compassionate and patient approach toward boarding students
- Willingness to join immediately
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Science or a relevant subject
- B.Ed. preferred
- Teaching experience preferred (boarding school experience is an advantage)
