Job Summary
The Laser Cutting Operator will be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machines to manufacture precision components used in toy production. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of laser cutting operations, be quality-conscious, and ensure production targets are achieved while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines as per production plans and work instructions.
- Load and unload raw materials safely and efficiently.
- Verify material specifications before starting production.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, cutting layouts, and job orders.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor operational adjustments when required.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional requirements.
- Separate finished parts from scrap and prepare them for the next production process.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine faults, quality issues, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production and machine operation records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S practices.
- Meet daily production and quality targets.
Required Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical training and hands-on exposure may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of CNC laser cutting machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and production instructions.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and steel rulers.
- Knowledge of sheet metal handling and quality inspection.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
