Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented MRD Manager to oversee the Medical Records Department and ensure accurate, timely, secure, and compliant management of patient records. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining medical documentation standards, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, and ensuring smooth MRD operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Medical Records Department.
- Ensure proper collection, verification, filing, indexing, and maintenance of patient medical records.
- Maintain accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of medical records.
- Ensure records are maintained as per hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, front office, billing, and other departments for timely availability of patient records.
- Monitor retrieval, issuance, tracking, and return of medical records.
- Maintain both physical and electronic medical records.
- Conduct regular audits to identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation.
- Prepare MRD-related reports, MIS, and departmental records for management.
- Train and supervise MRD staff and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Implement proper record retention, archival, and disposal practices.
- Handle patient/departmental requests related to medical documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficient MRD operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Record Management, Health Information Management, Hospital Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Medical Records/MRD, preferably in a hospital, healthcare, or fertility/IVF setup.
- Good knowledge of medical documentation and record-keeping processes.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data security.
- Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital/medical record software.
