Assistant Manager (Food & Beverages)
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – Food & Beverages to oversee the daily operations of the hospital's food service department. The candidate will ensure the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality food services to patients, attendants, visitors, and staff while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, food safety standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverages Department.
- Ensure timely preparation and distribution of patient diets as per prescribed nutritional requirements.
- Supervise cafeteria, kitchen, pantry, and food service operations.
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with FSSAI, NABH, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with Dieticians, Nursing, and Clinical Departments regarding patient dietary requirements.
- Manage inventory, procurement, storage, and consumption of food supplies.
- Control food costs, wastage, and departmental expenses.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate F&B staff performance.
- Handle patient and customer feedback related to food services and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and coordinate with the maintenance team when required.
- Maintain departmental records, reports, audits, and statutory compliance documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities.
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Food Production, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
