Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and organized Assistant Storekeeper to support daily store operations. The candidate will assist in inventory control, receiving and issuing materials, maintaining records, and ensuring the store is well-organized and compliant with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records (inward & outward)
- Issue materials to departments as per approved requests
- Ensure proper documentation (GRN, issue slips, stock registers)
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damages
- Arrange stock neatly and follow FIFO / FEFO methods
- Support stock audits and physical verification
- Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and operations teams
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store
- Handle daily local purchases as required for operations
- Raise purchase requests under the Accounts head, place orders with local vendors, and follow up until delivery
- Maintain records of local purchases, bills, and submit them to the Accounts department
Requirements
- Proven experience as Assistant Storekeeper or similar role
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel / inventory software)
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures
