Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Intern will support the assigned department within Manufacturing, which may include Material Planning, Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Quality, or other related manufacturing support functions, based on business needs and internship scope.
The role is intended for a fresh graduate or early-career trainee who will gain practical exposure to manufacturing operations, planning processes, supply chain coordination, engineering support, procurement follow-up, quality systems, process documentation, data analysis, reporting routines, shop floor awareness, and business systems while developing foundational knowledge of manufacturing execution in an Oil and Gas energy industry environment.
Job Description
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the assigned Manufacturing department in day-to-day activities, reporting, documentation, data preparation, coordination, and follow-up actions under supervision.
- Assist in reviewing planning data, production priorities, material requirements, procurement status, quality inputs, technical information, open action trackers, and execution-related inputs as applicable to the assigned scope.
- Help maintain trackers, dashboards, status reports, process documents, SOPs, work instructions, or technical documentation to improve visibility and execution discipline.
- Support collection, validation, interpretation, and circulation of information from business systems, planning reports, procurement updates, quality records, technical documents, supplier reports, or cross-functional teams.
- Assist with basic analysis of shortages, delays, exceptions, trends, supplier updates, quality concerns, production issues, or process gaps, and share observations with the assigned senior team member.
- Participate in team routines, KPI reviews, Obeya discussions, production support meetings, quality reviews, procurement follow-ups, technical discussions, and team meetings to understand business priorities and governance.
- Learn and support basic SAP S/4HANA transactions, reports, master data review, procurement updates, quality notification management, deviation request follow-up, or procedural updates as assigned.
- Coordinate with Material Planning, Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, Documentation Control, Project Teams, suppliers, Production teams, Engineering teams, and other stakeholders for clarifications and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities to simplify trackers, improve reporting quality, optimize processes, or enhance documentation and follow-up discipline.
- Follow all safety requirements, guidance, review checkpoints, and approval requirements before sharing data, reports, documents, or technical updates with stakeholders.

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, planning, production, or engineering concepts.
- Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, planning routines, procurement follow-up, quality requirements, production support, reporting practices, and business systems.
- Ability to work with data, identify basic trends, support preparation of reports and trackers, and follow up on open actions under supervision.
- Ability to comprehend basic technical drawings, Bill of Material, work instructions, quality documents, procurement documents, safety documents, or planning reports as applicable to the assigned department.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and comfort in learning digital tools, reporting tools, and ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to coordinate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, curiosity to learn, and ability to follow instructions, safety guidance, and review checkpoints accurately.
- Comfortable working in an office environment and, where required, visiting shop floor or manufacturing areas under appropriate supervision.
Technical/General Competencies
- Microsoft Excel, basic data analysis, reporting, and tracker maintenance
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, material planning, production planning, procurement, quality, inventory, and operational workflows
- Ability to learn SAP S/4HANA transactions, reports, master data review, procurement follow-up, quality records, and related business system activities
- Technical drawing, BOM, procedure, quality, and safety document awareness, as applicable
- Structured documentation, SOPs, work instructions, follow-up discipline, and technical or operational reporting
Nice to have:
- Academic project or internship exposure in manufacturing operations, supply chain, planning, procurement, production, quality, engineering support, or process improvement.
- Basic awareness of ERP systems, Power BI, Microsoft Project, quality notification management, supplier or procurement follow-up, procedural updates, or new product development support.
- Interest in developing a career in manufacturing operations, material planning, production planning, manufacturing engineering, procurement, quality, supply chain, or related operational functions.
- Basic knowledge of Lean, continuous improvement, or structured problem-solving methods.
