Job Summary
The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, collecting and processing specimens, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of test results. The role requires adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and coordination with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and label blood, urine, and other specimens accurately.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Prepare reagents and ensure proper storage of laboratory materials.
- Record and report test results with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Follow infection control measures and laboratory safety guidelines.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation as per hospital protocols.
- Assist doctors and pathologists in specialized diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the laboratory.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for timely sample collection and reporting.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) from a recognized institution.
- Relevant work experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory will be preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain confidentiality.
Working Days: 6 Days (Mon to Sat)
Salary: (Depending upon qualifications and experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
