A storekeeper oversees inventory management, receives and dispatches goods, maintains stock records, and ensures the efficient, safe operation of a warehouse or storeroom
Core Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspecting: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, checking for damages, discrepancies, and accurate quantities.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate, up-to-date stock levels using inventory management software or manual ledgers.
- Stock Organization: Store materials and supplies systematically using appropriate methods like FIFO (First-In, First-Out) to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
- Disbursement & Issuance: Fulfill material requests and issue authorized quantities to various departments while properly documenting transactions.
- Auditing: Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile them with recorded book balances.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, maintain clean storage areas, and secure the facility against theft or damage.
- Reordering: Initiate purchase requisitions to replenish stock as levels approach minimum thresholds.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
