Key Responsibilities1. Transport OperationsPlan, schedule, and manage daily transportation activities for shipments, employee transport, or company logistics.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods/services.
Optimize routes to reduce travel time and fuel consumption.
2. Vehicle & Fleet ManagementMaintain and monitor fleet records including vehicle documents, service schedules, fuel logs, and repair history.
Coordinate with service centers for periodic maintenance and breakdown support.
Ensure adherence to vehicle safety standards and regulatory compliance.
3. Vendor & Driver CoordinationLiaise with transport vendors, drivers, and third-party logistics providers.
Maintain roster, assign duties, and supervise driver performance.
Resolve transport-related issues and ensure SLA adherence.
4. Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate records for trip sheets, billing, permits, and statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, RTO regulations, and safety norms.
Prepare transport-related reports for management (daily/weekly/monthly).
5. Cost ManagementMonitor transport expenses including fuel, tolls, repairs, and vendor bills.
Support in budget planning and cost optimization initiatives.
6. Customer & Stakeholder SupportAddress transport-related queries and service requests from internal teams.
Ensure high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Transport, logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in transport/logistics operations (based on company requirement).
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, transport management systems (TMS), GPS tracking tools.
Knowledge of local routes, regulations, and transport compliance norms.
Preferred AttributesAbility to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Team player with a solution-oriented attitude.
Flexible to work in shifts or extended hours when required.
