Main Duties & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Senior IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer is a senior technical role within our Security & Infrastructure team. This position is a technical leader who also exhibits the ability to mentor both peers and partners. This role is a key contributor to the Security & Infrastructure strategy and design, as well as an advisor for our technology and business partners as they strive to best and most efficiently utilize our technologies. Along with technology responsibilities, this role will understand business goals, establish, and manage key business and application partner relationships, and communicate and influence junior team members with technology and business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, plan and implement enterprise-wide system solutions in a Microsoft Windows Server and VMware environment.
Manage and maintain server software, hardware and related applications and systems.
Oversee and support Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
Document, implement and review Information Technology (IT) Hosting Services policies, procedures and solutions.
Provide recommendations for resolving business issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals and business stakeholders.
Ensure Active Directory Hygiene - Inventory users and groups including service accounts; Computer object and user object disposition; Security group policy reviews
Support Patching and Vulnerability Management (Qualys) - Patch servers; Review, resolve/escalate issues with patching; Identify persistent vulnerabilities and investigate root cause of patching failures.
Asset management - Identify assets with not standard software; Tag assets for speedy identification; Identify out of support computer systems and follow up on replacement process and timelines; Maintain inventory of all physical and virtual assets, internet circuits across all sites; Manage disposition of assets.
Support SIEM Implementation - Ensure completeness of assets being monitored; Ensure completeness of logs being collected from various sources; Identify machines without agents; Work with MSSP and divisional IT to resolve alarms
Monitor Offsite backups – completeness check and success rate monitoring
Provide Networking support to sites globally.
Additional duties as assigned
Supervise the IT team at the Center of Excellence office in India.
This role is required to be on-site 2 days
Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities:
5+ years’ experience administering windows infrastructure - Active directory, Role delegation, Windows, Powershell, Patching, MFA, TCPIP, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, VPN, NetBios etc.
3+ years’ experience managing advance anti-virus deployments (policy setup, agent install/uninstalls). Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoints (MDE) preferable.
3+ years of experience administering asset management system and patch deployment tools like SCCM, desktop central.
3+ years experience with network and datacenter admiration. Networking certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA) preferred.
5+ years’ experience administering on-site and off-site backups, preferably using Veeam
3+ years’ experience in resolving security and configuration issues from alarms generated by SEIM (preferably Alienvault).
5+ years’ experience administering vulnerability management tools, preferably Qualys.
Experience with end user desktop support.
Solid understanding of SaaS and enterprise applications.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Team management experience.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
5-7 years of experience managing diverse IT environments and teams.
