A Power Press Operator operates, sets up, and maintains mechanical or hydraulic presses to cut, bend, and form sheet metal components, ensuring production efficiency and safety. - Machine Setup: Install dies, tools, and adjust machine parameters (stroke length, pressure) based on production instructions.
- Operation: Operate power presses (mechanical/hydraulic) to bend, punch, cut, or form metal components.
- Production & Inspection: Feed materials, operate the machine using hand levers/foot pedals, and inspect finished products for defects using tools like calipers and gauges.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, oiling, and basic repairs to maintain machine efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including using guards, wearing protective gear (PPE), and reporting hazards.
