Job Description:
Mukat Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Staff Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an integral part of our ICU department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the ICU, including vital signs, oxygen levels, and neurological status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Perform routine procedures such as IV placement, wound care, and specimen collection with precision and attention to infection control protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating proficiency in life-saving techniques and equipment operation.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing license issued by the State Nursing Council.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Proficiency in advanced nursing skills such as ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of critical care nursing.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as per the department's scheduling requirements.
