Purpose
To prepare accurate cost estimations, BOQs, and technical proposals for HVAC and cleanroom projects by analyzing project requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and supporting the tendering and business development process.
Role and Responsibilities
1 Project Design and Planning
- Design HVAC systems for commercial, pharmaceutical, and industrial projects
- Perform heat load calculations to determine project requirements
- Coordinate with clients to understand project specifications and requirements
2 Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation
- Prepare detailed BOQs based on drawings and client requirements
- Conduct quantity take-offs and estimation for project costing
3 Project Cost Estimation and Tendering
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates including materials, labor, and overheads
- Participate in tendering processes and ensure compliance with specifications
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and bid submissions
4 Coordination and Collaboration
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, marketing, execution, and purchase teams
- Ensure alignment of estimation with project scope and timelines
5 Vendor Management and Negotiation
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships for technical and commercial aspects
- Negotiate pricing, technical specifications, and delivery terms
6 Marketing Support
- Assist in pre-bid, post-bid, and negotiation meetings
- Provide technical inputs and clarifications to the marketing/sales team
7 Continuous Learning and Development
- Stay updated on HVAC, cleanroom, and MEP technologies
- Continuously enhance technical and estimation capabilities
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in HVAC estimation, design, or project engineering
Experience in pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or EPC projects preferred
Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, tendering, and cost estimation
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and heat load calculations
- Proficiency in estimation, BOQ preparation, and tendering
- Good understanding of drawings (GA, layout, P&ID, etc.)
- Vendor negotiation and cost analysis skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
