About the Role
United Waffles of America is looking for an energetic, customer-friendly, and responsible team member to join our waffle shop. If you enjoy food preparation, customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Waffle Preparation
- Prepare and serve fresh waffles according to company standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices.
- Monitor equipment and report any issues.
Customer Service
- Welcome customers with a positive attitude.
- Assist with menu selection and answer customer queries.
- Handle feedback professionally and courteously.
- Ensure an excellent customer experience.
Store Operations
- Support daily store operations.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
Stock & Inventory
- Monitor ingredient and packaging stock levels.
- Receive and organize inventory deliveries.
- Report low-stock items promptly.
- Reduce wastage through proper storage practices.
Billing & Cash Handling
- Operate the POS/billing system accurately.
- Process cash, card, and digital payments.
- Maintain transaction records and assist with cash reconciliation.
Cleaning & Hygiene
- Clean kitchen equipment, workstations, and customer areas.
- Follow daily cleaning schedules.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic POS/billing knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Previous experience in cafés, restaurants, bakeries, or dessert shops is an advantage but not required.
