We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Fabric Quality Assurance (QA) Executive to oversee fabric quality from sourcing to production. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming fabrics, coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with quality standards, negotiating with suppliers, and supporting the product development and production teams.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesFabric Quality Inspection
- Inspect all incoming fabric shipments for quality, GSM, composition, shade, width, shrinkage, and defects.
- Ensure fabrics meet approved specifications before they are released for production.
- Reject or report non-conforming fabrics and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
- Maintain quality inspection reports and fabric approval records.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with existing fabric vendors for timely deliveries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service.
- Source and onboard new fabric vendors whenever required.
Vendor Negotiation
- Negotiate fabric prices, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure the company receives competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Work closely with the procurement team to optimize sourcing costs.
Fabric Development & Sampling
- Coordinate with vendors for fabric developments, dyeing, printing, and sample submissions.
- Ensure lab dips, strike-offs, and sample fabrics are approved before bulk production.
- Maintain fabric swatches and reference libraries.
Production Coordination
- Coordinate with merchandising and production teams to ensure fabric availability.
- Track fabric orders and ensure on-time delivery for production schedules.
- Resolve quality issues before fabrics enter production.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of inspections, vendor communications, purchase details, and quality reports.
- Prepare periodic reports on vendor performance, quality issues, and fabric consumption.
- Update internal databases with fabric specifications and approvals.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve fabric quality and reduce rejection rates.
- Suggest alternative fabrics or suppliers for better quality and cost optimization.
- Stay updated with new textile technologies, sustainable fabrics, and market trends.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of knitted and woven fabrics.
- Understanding of GSM, fabric composition, shrinkage, color fastness, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of textile testing methods and inspection procedures.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience is an added advantage).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple vendors simultaneously.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Fabric Quality Assurance, Fabric Sourcing, Textile Procurement, or Vendor Management.

- Incoming fabric acceptance/rejection rate.
- On-time fabric delivery by vendors.
- Reduction in fabric quality complaints.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
