Veterinary Officer – Pet Insurance & Claims

Reports To: Claims Manager
Job Purpose
To assess and validate pet insurance claims by reviewing medical records and ensuring treatments align with policy coverage, clinical standards, and cost guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review veterinary medical records, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
- Determine claim eligibility based on policy terms and exclusions.
- Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of procedures.
- Approve, adjust, or decline claims with clear justification.
- Identify potential fraud, over-servicing, or billing discrepancies.
- Provide medical advice to underwriting and claims teams.
- Support appeals and complex case reviews.
Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent).
- Valid veterinary license.
- 3+ years of animal clinical experience.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary diagnostics and treatment protocols.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: ₹35,876.54 - ₹60,158.12 per month
