Job Purpose
The Housekeeping & Facility Executive will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, patient comfort, and overall facility management across the hospital. The role includes supervising housekeeping staff, monitoring cleaning activities, ensuring infection-control practices, coordinating with internal departments, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping Operations
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day housekeeping operations throughout the hospital.
- Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, wards, OPD areas, ICUs, OTs, corridors, waiting areas, washrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Prepare and manage duty rosters, shift schedules, and manpower deployment.
- Conduct regular floor rounds and cleanliness inspections.
- Ensure timely cleaning and preparation of rooms for patient admissions and discharges.
- Monitor deep-cleaning schedules and special cleaning requirements.
Infection Control & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with hospital infection-control policies and hygiene standards.
- Monitor proper waste segregation and biomedical waste disposal practices.
- Ensure appropriate use of disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, PPE, and housekeeping equipment.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Team for audits and corrective actions.
- Maintain cleanliness standards as per NABH and hospital quality requirements.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise housekeeping supervisors, attendants, and outsourced housekeeping staff.
- Allocate duties and ensure adequate manpower availability in all areas.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
- Provide on-the-job training on cleaning procedures, safety, infection control, and patient etiquette.
- Handle staff concerns and coordinate with the HR Department when required.
Facility Management
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and facility-related issues.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Biomedical, Security, Nursing, and other departments for issue resolution.
- Ensure timely reporting and follow-up of civil, electrical, plumbing, furniture, and equipment-related concerns.
- Monitor availability and condition of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
- Maintain proper inventory and consumption records of housekeeping materials.
Quality & Documentation
- Maintain daily housekeeping checklists, inspection reports, and cleaning records.
- Handle patient, visitor, and departmental complaints related to cleanliness and facilities.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings and feedback.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, safety, and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Hotel Management / Hospital Administration / Facility Management or equivalent.
- Diploma in Housekeeping / Facility Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in hospital housekeeping or facility management.
- Experience in a multispecialty hospital or healthcare facility will be preferred.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of hospital housekeeping procedures.
- Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste management.
- Team handling and manpower management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of NABH and hospital quality standards.
- Ability to handle emergencies and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and report preparation.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
