Store Manager – Job Duties & Responsibilities (Hotel)
Job Title: Store Manager / Store In-Charge
Department: Stores & Purchase
Reports To: Financial Controller / Accounts Manager / Operation Manager.
Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of all hotel materials, including food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, engineering spares, stationery, and operating supplies. The role ensures proper stock levels, cost control, and compliance with hotel policies.
Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all hotel stores.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock verification and physical inventory counts.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
- Prevent stock shortages, overstocking, and wastage.
2. Receiving & Inspection
- Receive goods as per approved Purchase Orders.
- Verify quantity, quality, specifications, and rates of delivered items.
- Check expiry dates, packaging condition, and damages.
- Coordinate with user departments for quality acceptance.
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
3. Issuance of Materials
- Issue materials only against authorized Store Requisition Notes (SRNs).
- Ensure timely issuance to Kitchen, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and other departments.
- Maintain issue registers and inventory records.
- Track departmental consumption patterns.
4. Cost Control
- Monitor inventory carrying costs and stock turnover.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
- Support food cost and operating cost control initiatives.
- Report variances and unusual consumption trends.

Prepare and submit:
- Daily Stock Movement Report
- Daily Receiving Report
- Monthly Inventory Report
- Slow-Moving Stock Report
- Non-Moving Stock Report
- Stock Variance Report
- Department-wise Consumption Report.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
