Junior PLC Programming Engineer – PLC & Industrial Automation

About the Role
We are seeking a Junior PLC Programming Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will play a key role in system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), PLC/HMI development, commissioning, and remote technical support.
This position is based in Delhi-NCR and offers the opportunity to work on diverse automation projects involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, and industrial communication networks.
Key Responsibilities1. In-House Testing, Simulation & Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) – 60%
- Set up internal test benches, simulation racks, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing systems.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers at the Delhi facility.
- Perform pre-commissioning activities including:
- Control panel wiring verification
- Loop checking
- I/O module mapping
- VFD parameter configuration
- Simulate field signals, fault conditions, and safety interlocks to validate PLC programs before dispatch.
- Debug and verify complete automation systems to ensure readiness for commissioning.
2. PLC / HMI / SCADA Development – 25%
- Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs based on Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Design and configure HMI screens, SCADA graphics, alarms, reports, and historical trends.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including:
- Profinet
- Profibus
- Modbus TCP/RTU
- Ethernet/IP
- Support integration of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
3. Commissioning, Remote Support & Documentation – 15%
- Perform on-site commissioning and startup activities.
- Provide remote technical support to commissioning engineers and customers using tools such as AnyDesk and TeamViewer.
- Review electrical drawings, P&IDs, control panel layouts, and I/O assignments.
- Prepare FAT reports, commissioning reports, operation manuals, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Industrial Automation and PLC Programming.
- Strong hands-on experience in PLC debugging, commissioning, and industrial control systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Siemens PLCs (S7-1200/S7-1500, TIA Portal, WinCC)
OR
- Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs (Studio 5000, ControlLogix)

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
