Role Overview
The Occupational Therapist will assess and provide intervention for children with developmental, sensory, motor, behavioral and functional difficulties.
The therapist will work closely with children, parents and the multidisciplinary team to build skills that support participation, independence and everyday functioning.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Intervention
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments based on the child's developmental and functional needs.
- Assess areas including:
- Fine motor skills
- Gross motor skills
- Sensory processing
- Hand-eye coordination
- Visual-motor integration
- Motor planning and coordination
- Attention and regulation
- Handwriting and pre-writing skills
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Functional participation
- Develop individualized therapy goals based on assessment findings.
- Plan and conduct structured, engaging and developmentally appropriate therapy sessions.
- Select appropriate therapeutic activities and strategies according to each child's needs.
- Monitor the child's response to intervention and modify activities/goals when required.
- Conduct periodic reassessments and contribute to progress reports.
Parent & Caregiver Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding therapy goals and progress.
- Explain therapeutic strategies in a simple and practical manner.
- Provide home-based activities and recommendations to support carryover.
- Encourage parents to incorporate therapeutic strategies into everyday routines.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with special educators, speech therapists, psychologists, behavior therapists and other professionals.
- Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Share relevant observations and recommendations with the team.
- Support a holistic approach to intervention.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate session notes and therapy records.
- Document goals, interventions, observations and progress.
- Maintain assessment and progress documentation as per Nurturers' clinical protocols.
- Ensure confidentiality and professional handling of client information.
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, engaging and child-friendly therapy environment.
- Follow ethical and professional standards of occupational therapy practice.
- Stay updated with evidence-informed approaches and current practices.
- Participate in internal training, supervision and professional development activities.
- Take responsibility for assigned cases and maintain punctuality and consistency.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT) from a recognized institution.
- Freshers and candidates with 0–3 years of relevant experience may apply.
- Candidates with experience in pediatric rehabilitation, developmental therapy, special education or related settings will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development is an advantage.

Pay: ₹37,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
