Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of specialized municipal solid waste management machinery, including Road Sweeper Machines, Refuse Compactors, Suction-cum-Jetting Units, and custom environmental equipment. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase-cum-Store Executive with strong technical exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems to manage our procurement and inventory operations.
Job Overview
The Purchase-cum-Store Executive will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, along with inventory and store management at our manufacturing plant. You will ensure timely procurement of high-quality raw materials, maintain stock precision, and manage vendor relationships to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials, bought-out items, and specialized components like hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, pneumatic fittings, hoses, and mechanical hardware.
- Float Enquiries (RFQs), prepare comparative statements, negotiate best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Release Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Evaluate and onboard reliable vendors for hydraulic, pneumatic, and heavy machinery spares.
2. Store & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily store operations: Material Receipt (GRN), Inward Inspection, Storage, and Material Issue against Material Requisitions (MRS).
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/Tally and conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Establish and monitor Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), Reorder Levels (ROL), and Safety Stock to eliminate production downtime.
- Ensure proper layout, identification, tagging, and damage-free storage of hydraulic and mechanical spares.
3. Vendor & Quality Management
- Coordinate with Quality Inspection teams to verify incoming raw materials against technical specifications and drawings.
- Handle vendor returns, credit notes, and rejected component processing.
- Verify vendor invoices and coordinate with Accounts for timely payment processing.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or Graduate with relevant technical store experience.
- Experience: 3 – 6 years of experience in Purchasing and Store Management within a manufacturing setup (preferably in Heavy Machinery, Automobile, or Municipal Equipment manufacturing).
- Technical Knowledge (Must-Have):
- Strong working knowledge of Hydraulic Systems (Pumps, Directional Control Valves, Cylinders, Hoses, Fittings) and Pneumatic Systems (Compressors, Actuators, Solenoid Valves).
- Ability to understand technical bills of materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and component specifications.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), ERP systems, or Tally.
- Key Skills: Negotiation, Vendor Management, Inventory Control, Technical Component Identification, Problem Solving.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
