1. Job Purpose
To ensure that all raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products meet customer specifications, food safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and applicable certification standards. The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for maintaining quality systems, conducting inspections and testing, ensuring compliance, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in quality and food safety practices.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Quality Control
· Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
· Perform in-process quality inspections at different stages of production.
· Conduct final inspection of finished products before release or dispatch.
· Collect, evaluate, and approve product samples as per defined specifications.
· Verify product quality against customer specifications and internal quality standards.
· Identify, document, and report quality deviations and non-conformities.
· Prepare and maintain quality reports and inspection records.
B. Food Safety & Compliance
· Implement and monitor HACCP procedures and food safety controls.
· Maintain and monitor the ISO Quality Management / Food Safety Management System, as applicable.
· Coordinate and maintain requirements related to organic certification.
· Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI requirements and food safety regulations.
· Monitor employee hygiene and overall hygiene conditions within the facility.
· Monitor and maintain pest control activities and records.
· Conduct cleaning and sanitation verification to ensure required standards are maintained.
· Identify potential food safety risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
C. Laboratory & Testing
· Coordinate and conduct laboratory testing as required.
· Perform moisture testing of raw materials and finished products.
· Conduct or coordinate product analysis according to approved specifications.
· Maintain laboratory test reports and records.
· Ensure laboratory equipment and testing instruments are properly maintained and calibrated.
· Maintain calibration schedules and calibration records.
D. Certification & Audit Management
· Coordinate HACCP certification renewal and related documentation.
· Coordinate ISO certification renewal and compliance requirements.
· Coordinate organic certification renewal and maintain supporting records.
· Prepare documents and records required for customer audits.
· Coordinate and support third-party certification and compliance audits.
· Assist in closing audit observations and implementing corrective actions.
· Ensure continuous compliance with applicable certification standards.
E. Documentation & Records
· Prepare and maintain quality-related GRN documentation and inspection records.
· Verify quality status before issuing Material Out Pass, wherever applicable.
· Maintain quality records, registers, and supporting documents.
· Prepare and maintain inspection reports.
· Ensure proper filing, traceability, and timely updating of quality documentation.
· Maintain records required for audits, certifications, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.
F. Coordination
· Assist the Purchase Department in the development and approval of packaging materials and specifications.
· Coordinate with the Production Department to maintain product quality and food safety standards.
· Coordinate with suppliers regarding raw material, packaging, and quality-related issues.
· Communicate quality deviations and required corrective actions to relevant departments.
· Handle and investigate customer quality complaints in coordination with Production, Purchase, Sales, and Management.
· Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from quality complaints and internal observations.
G. Employee Training
· Conduct quality, hygiene, food safety, and GMP-related training for employees.
· Train employees on applicable quality procedures and work instructions.
· Maintain training records and ensure employees understand relevant quality and food safety requirements.
· Promote a strong quality and food safety culture across the organisation.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
