Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Purchase Head with 7–12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and operational execution, along with the ability to build and scale procurement processes in a start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business growth and cost optimization goals
· Lead vendor identification, evaluation, development, and negotiations for raw materials, components, and services
· Ensure timely procurement with minimal lead time
· Build and strengthen a reliable vendor ecosystem focused on quality, cost efficiency, and scalability
· Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives and value engineering efforts
· Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies in electronics and solar sectors
· Own end-to-end procurement operations including purchase orders, contracts, and compliance with statutory requirements
· Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project, and finance teams to align procurement with business needs
· Establish and track key procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, delivery timelines, and inventory efficiency
· Prepare and present weekly and monthly procurement reports to management, providing insights and actionable recommendations
· Identify and mitigate supply chain risks proactively
· Build, lead, and mentor the procurement team while fostering accountability and performance culture
· Design and implement scalable procurement processes and systems suitable for a high-growth startup
· Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team by setting clear goals, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks
· Conduct regular team reviews, provide feedback, and build a high-performance culture aligned with company growth objectives
· Ensure proper workload distribution and capability building to support scaling operations
· Drive cross-training and knowledge sharing within the team to reduce dependency on individuals
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
