12+ years total experience, including 5+ years delivery leadership of software projects
Responsibilities
Delivery & Governance
-
Own the end‑to‑end delivery of software projects, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality constraints.

Develop, maintain, and control project plans, schedules, estimates, and forecasts, ensuring transparency and timely escalation of risks and issues.

Own delivery governance, including:
-
Risk, issue, dependency, and action management (RAID)
-
Escalation and mitigation planning
-
Change control and impact assessment
-
Track, analyse, and report on key delivery metrics, providing clear, concise status updates to senior stakeholders.
Commercial & Cost Management
-
Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, utilisation, and time reporting in line with agreed commercial targets.

Balance delivery priorities against commercial constraints, proactively identifying risks to budget or schedule and agreeing mitigation actions.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
-
Act as the primary delivery contact for senior internal stakeholders.

Proactively engage stakeholders on planning, priorities, risks, issues, and mitigation, maintaining open and transparent communication.

Prepare and present regular status and risk reports to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Team Leadership & Coordination

Provide day‑to‑day delivery leadership to hybrid onshore / offshore teams, ensuring clarity of objectives, priorities, and responsibilities.

Ensure delivery teams are adequately resourced in line with agreed plans and headcount, escalating risks where capacity or capability constraints exist.

Foster a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and collaboration within the delivery team.

Coach and mentor team members in support of delivery outcomes, promoting effective ways of working and continuous improvement.

Provide delivery‑focused performance feedback, supporting individual development as it relates to project execution.
Methodology & Ways of Working

Lead delivery using Agile or hybrid approaches, applying the most appropriate methodology to the delivery context.

Ensure consistent application of agreed delivery processes, ceremonies, and controls, adapting as required to meet project needs.

Support teams in understanding and applying delivery methodologies effectively, rather than enforcing a single prescriptive approach.
Technical Delivery Context

Use technical knowledge to assess delivery risk, challenge estimates and plans, and communicate effectively with engineering teams.

Ensure delivery decisions consider technical quality, maintainability, and lifecycle impacts, without acting as a hands‑on technical authority.

Collaborate with technical and architectural stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with agreed standards and constraints.
Qualifications
Graduation in any stream (software development diploma or training preferred for non‑IT graduates)
