Role: Billing Engineer Seniority Level: Senior Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Required Experience: 6+ years in real estate construction Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, verify, and process subcontractor bills with timely certification as per contracts - Maintain systematic billing records per SOPs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements - Verify executed quantities vs drawings/BOQ, prepare detailed take-offs, estimates, cost analysis, and track deviations for variation/claim inputs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive smooth billing processes and adherence to submission timelines Must-Have Skills/Technologies: - Strong knowledge of construction contracts, billing processes, and cost estimation - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel - Experience with construction management software - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Good-to-Have Skills/Technologies: - Certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field (e.g., PMP, PE) - Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and construction management software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Procore) - Knowledge of local regulations and laws governing construction contracts and billing processes - Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) - Experience in managing and implementing process improvements in billing and cost analysis Must-Have Soft Skills: - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines Good-to-Have Soft Skills: - Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide junior team members and contribute to the development of the billing team
