In This Role, You Will::
Intern, Application Security

Assist in developing a small to medium complex security project, process, or initiatives such as automation, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, vulnerability management, etc.

Develop custom solutions to automate processes as part of the Cvent Application Security Research and Engineering program.

Assist in exploring and prototyping AI-assisted application-security use cases, such as threat modeling, SAST/SCA triage, security analysis, and security automation, under the guidance of AppSec engineers.

Create and update the knowledge base and documentation related to the product security processes and projects.

Identify additional areas of opportunity and means for knowledge-sharing practices across teams
Intern, STAR

Build, administer, or support Cvent’s global information security technology solutions and operations.

Evaluate new security tools and present comparisons/recommendations based on set criteria.

Assist with Incident Response workflows, playbooks reviews/revisions, alerting reviews/revisions.

Assist with common IR investigations such as phishing emails etc.

Create information security program documentation to support achievement of departmental goals and objectives
Intern, Security Engineering

Assist in documenting security requirements and standards in collaboration with technical teams.

Learn about and support the day-to-day execution of security processes related to cloud security posture, vulnerability management, and security observability.

Shadow the development and management of security solutions on cloud platforms, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.

Contribute to the development of scripting and automation to integrate security systems and streamline workflows.

Provide support to ongoing security initiatives and projects
Intern, Security Assurance
Customer Due Diligence and Security Reviews

Support the intake, tracking, and timely completion of customer security questionnaires
and review requests. -
Research and help draft responses to questions about security controls, privacy,
infrastructure, network architecture, business continuity, and compliance. -
Use approved internal resources to locate accurate, current information and identify
when questions require escalation. -
Coordinate with Information Security, Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and other
subject matter experts to validate responses. -
Help maintain organized records of customer requests, response status, approvals, and
follow-up actions. -
Support Sales and Customer-facing teams by preparing clear, professional, and
appropriately scoped security information. -
Identify recurring questions, documentation gaps, and opportunities to improve the
customer assurance experience. -
