About the Role
Byte Digital is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise across .NET, React, AWS and Docker.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role. You'll work across the full development lifecycle—from solution design and development through testing, deployment and production support. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of features and technical problems rather than requiring detailed direction.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core and ASP.NET Core
- Build modern, responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript
- Design and develop REST APIs and microservices
- Build and maintain containerised applications using Docker
- Deploy and support applications within AWS
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS as required
- Design and optimise SQL databases and data-access layers
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure and production issues
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
- Perform code reviews and help maintain engineering standards
- Work closely with product, design, QA and other engineers
- Mentor and support less experienced developers
- Take ownership of delivery from requirements through to production
Essential Skills
You should have:
- Minimum 6 years of commercial software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Strong commercial experience with React
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Solid experience with AWS in production environments
- Hands-on Docker experience
- Strong SQL and relational database experience
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices
- Good understanding of application security, performance and scalability
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Highly Desirable
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
Kubernetes / ECS Terraform / CloudFormation GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps PostgreSQL / SQL Server Entity Framework Redis Event-driven architecture AWS serverless technologies Observability and monitoring tools
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in developers who are genuinely full stack.
You should be comfortable moving between a React UI, .NET APIs, databases, Docker containers and AWS infrastructure when required.
This role will suit someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, can work independently and enjoys solving real-world technical problems.
