Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the quality management system of the Assay and Hallmarking Centre. The role ensures that gold, silver, and other precious metal testing processes meet regulatory and laboratory standards, including compliance with guidelines from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The Quality Manager oversees laboratory operations, quality control procedures, documentation, and staff compliance.
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for the assay and hallmarking laboratory.
- Ensure compliance with standards and guidelines set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
- Monitor the accuracy of precious metal testing including gold and silver purity analysis.
- Supervise laboratory testing processes such as XRF testing, fire assay, and hallmarking procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and quality checks of laboratory operations.
- Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, calibration records, and test reports.
- Train laboratory technicians and staff on quality procedures and standards.
- Handle customer complaints and corrective actions related to testing results.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing instruments.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
- 3–7 years experience in assay laboratory, hallmarking center, or precious metal testing facility.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
