We are the India operations of a Overseas headquartered group. We operate under strict financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and real-time reporting standards. Our platform partners with NBFCs to distribute digital lending products alongside multi revenue streams.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As Senior Finance Manager, you will own the entire finance function for our India operations. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead financial accounting, Strong knowledge of Indian accounting
LSP accounting, NBFC partner reconciliations, Management reporting, statutory compliance (GST, TDS, ROC), Income TAX, statutory compliance and audit coordination. You'll work directly with Management, manage finance team, and ensure zero delays and error free financial reporting. This role demands someone who thrives under pressure, delivers under tight deadlines, has deep NBFC/lending accounting expertise, understands FDI compliance for wholly-owned subsidiaries, and combines agility with corporate discipline.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead end-to-end finance operations: general ledger, financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, and real-time MIS reporting to Management
- Experience in budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow management and audit coordination.
- Own LSP-specific accounting: tracking across partner NBFCs, disbursement/repayment entries, FLDG tracking and payment receipt from NBFCs, service fee reconciliation, and related calculations
- Ensure 100% compliance with zero delays: GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B monthly), TDS (26Q, 24Q quarterly), income tax returns, ROC filings.
- Coordinate statutory audits and tax audits, respond to auditor queries, and ensure clean audit reports with no qualifications
- Manage HQ financial reporting: consolidation support, FDI compliance for fund infusions, and FEMA compliance for wholly-owned subsidiary structure
- Lead financial planning: annual budgeting, financial projections, variance analysis (budget vs actual), and board-level presentations with expert Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable: review and submit payment requests to HQ for approval, ensure TDS compliance, track client and partners collections for non-LSP revenue (gaming, coupons, cashback)
- Manage treasury and cash flow: weekly cash forecasting, bank reconciliation review (zero gaps policy), working capital optimization, and payment gateway reconciliations
- Ensure timely NBFC partner reconciliations: track loan disbursements across partner NBFCs originating through our platform, reconcile service fees, FLDG payments
- Review daily work of team, mentor on accounting processes, assign tasks, and ensure execution quality meets company standards
- Set up and maintain finance systems: create SOPs, compliance calendar, and internal controls
- Able to work independently and establish finance processes in a growing business.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- CA qualified (mandatory) with 6–12 years of experience in fintech, NBFC, digital lending, or financial services
- Deep expertise in LSP/NBFC accounting: loan book management, partner NBFC loan entries originating from our platform accounting, FLDG tracking and settlement, co-lending models, service fee reconciliation with partner NBFCs
- Mandatory knowledge of FDI compliance and related filings for wholly-owned subsidiary structures (parent-subsidiary transactions, fund infusions, FEMA regulations)
- Proven experience with Singapore or international HQ reporting: consolidation support, intercompany reconciliations, multi-currency accounting
- Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills for financial modeling, projections, variance analysis, board presentations, and executive-level reporting
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance: GST, TDS, income tax, ROC filings (handle in-house or coordinate with external auditor/CS), Ind AS 109 provisioning (Stage 1/2/3), and listed company exchange deadlines
- Startup mindset with corporate discipline: comfortable building finance function from scratch under strict deadlines while maintaining zero-error standards for listed parent company
- Experience coordinating statutory audits, responding to auditor queries, and managing external stakeholders (auditors, tax consultants, banks, NBFCs)
GOOD TO HAVE
- Basic knowledge of ROC and Company Secretary work for coordinating with legal/CS teams or handling filings if needed
- Experience with accounting software (Tally Prime, Zoho Books) and compliance tools (ClearTax, Traces, MCA portal)
- Prior experience as Finance Manager/Controller/Head of Finance in scaling company under investor/parent company scrutiny
- Understanding of co-lending regulations, RBI LSP guidelines, and NBFC partner accounting frameworks
