About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Education Counsellor to guide aspiring students through the process of studying abroad. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for international education, and the ability to provide personalized counselling to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students regarding study abroad opportunities (UG, PG, diploma, etc.) across countries such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe
- Understand student profiles and provide tailored guidance on courses, universities, and career pathways
- Assist students with the entire admission process including:
- University selection
- Application submission
- SOP/LOR guidance
- Provide accurate information on visa procedures and documentation
- Support students in test preparation guidance (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.)
- Maintain regular follow-ups with students and parents
- Coordinate with partner universities and internal teams
- Stay updated with international education trends, policies, and university updates
- Achieve monthly/quarterly counselling and enrollment targets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in study abroad counselling (freshers with strong communication skills may be considered)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and sales skills
- Knowledge of international education systems and visa processes
- Ability to multitask and manage student pipelines efficiently
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Prior experience in an overseas education consultancy
- Target-driven mindset with a student-first approach
