CATHLAB TECHNICIAN
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technician to join our cardiovascular team. The Cath Lab Technician assists cardiologists and healthcare professionals during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety, equipment functionality, and adherence to clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization, angiography, angioplasty, and other interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
- Operate and maintain cath lab imaging equipment and monitoring systems.
- Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures.
- Ensure proper sterile techniques and infection control practices.
- Prepare and manage catheters, guidewires, contrast media, and other procedural supplies.
- Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and support resuscitation efforts when required.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Qualifications Required
- Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 6+ years of Cath Lab experience.
- Experience with digital imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
