Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Staff in a café is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across the café, including dining areas, kitchen support areas, and restrooms. The role ensures a clean and welcoming environment for customers and staff while supporting smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, floors, and service areas regularly to ensure a pleasant customer experience.
- Kitchen Support Cleaning:
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked at all times.
Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste regularly, ensuring no overflow or foul odor in the café.
- Spill & Immediate Cleaning:
Quickly attend to spills, breakages, or cleaning needs during peak hours to maintain safety and hygiene.
Track usage of cleaning materials and inform the supervisor for timely replenishment.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI guidelines), including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and tools.
Assist café staff during busy hours by maintaining cleanliness of trays, counters, and service areas.
