Job Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Fabric Salesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in suiting, shirting fabrics, and fabric cutting. This role involves guiding customers in selecting the right fabrics for their needs, providing valuable advice on suiting and shirting materials, and offering custom cutting services to meet their specific requirements. The candidate will be representing India’s largest manufacturer and seller of textiles.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance:
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right suiting, shirting, and other fabric materials based on their needs.
- Offer personalized fabric recommendations for different occasions, ensuring that the fabric chosen matches the customer’s preferences and style.
- Provide expert advice on fabric characteristics, including texture, durability, and care.
- Fabric and Textile Sales:
- Actively promote and sell suiting and shirting fabrics and readymades available in-store.
- Educate customers about the differences between fabric types, such as cotton, linen, wool, and synthetic blends.
- Drive sales through excellent customer service and product knowledge, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
Product Knowledge:Inventory Management:Sales Transactions:Store Maintenance:Team Collaboration:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest fabric trends and market demands, especially in the suiting and shirting category.
- Understand fabric qualities, patterns, and colour choices to offer relevant and accurate advice to customers.
- Monitor stock levels of various fabrics and ensure the availability of suiting, shirting, and cutting options.
- Maintain neat and organized fabric displays, ensuring that different materials are properly categorized and easy to access for customers.
- Assist in re-stocking and inventory checks as required.
- Accurately measure, cut, and record fabric sales transactions.
- Process sales using the store’s point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring correct pricing and stock updates.
- Handle payments, issue receipts, and provide a smooth checkout experience for customers.
- Ensure the fabric displays are well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing.
- Keep the sales area clean, and ensure fabrics are properly stored and protected from damage.
- Work closely with the team to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Assist in store promotions, product launches, and in-store events related to fabric sales.Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fabric Expertise: Knowledge of suiting, shirting fabrics, and different types of textiles used in men’s and women’s clothing preferrable.
- Prior experience in the textile field would be preferred
- Sales Experience: Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in the fabric or garment industry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for engaging with customers and explaining fabric options effectively.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on building rapport and offering expert advice.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in fabric cutting, measurements, and inventory management.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address customer concerns and provide solutions quickly and efficiently.
Salary Package:
- Salary: ₹17000/per monthor above plus Incentives
