Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized Assistant / Junior Designer to bridge the gap between creative vision and production reality. In this role, you will assist in developing stunning embroidery designs and work closely with our production team and artisans to ensure fabrics are created beautifully and orders are executed flawlessly.
This role is perfect for a design graduate who possesses a keen eye for technical precision, loves the hands-on process of textile creation, and genuinely enjoys collaborating with people to get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
Embroidery Development: Assist the senior design team in creating artwork, layouts, and technical specs for embroidery (hand/machine/computerized).
Production Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between the design studio and the production floor/vendors to track the progress of fabric development and order fulfillment.
Quality Control & Precision: Review incoming swatches, samples, and finished fabrics against original artworks to ensure exact colors, placements, and quality standards are met.
Material Tracking: Help source and manage inventories of threads, beads, sequins, and base fabrics required for sampling and production.
Order Execution: Maintain clear timelines, update production sheets, and ensure that orders are dispatched on schedule.
What We Are Looking For:
Education: A degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related creative field.
Design Knowledge: A strong understanding of textiles, surface ornamentation techniques, color theory, and embroidery.
People Skills: Exceptional communication skills. You should feel comfortable talking to everyone from creative directors to factory floor workers and external vendors.
Eye for Detail: Precision is key. You notice when a thread color is one shade off or a motif is slightly misaligned.
Software Skills: Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CorelDRAW (knowledge of CAD or embroidery software is a huge plus, but not mandatory).
Why Join Us?
This role offers a 360-degree view of the fashion and textile industry. You won’t just be sitting behind a screen drawing—you will watch your designs come to life on the production floor and gain invaluable hands-on experience in manufacturing and supply chain management.
- A collaborative, energetic studio environment.
- Opportunity to grow into a core design or production management role.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
