Position Overview
The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy for Catalyst Education. Working directly under the CEO, this role provides strategic leadership to the marketing department, drives brand growth, supports student acquisition, strengthens market positioning, and ensures alignment between marketing initiatives and the organization's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement the company's annual and long-term marketing strategy.
Align marketing goals with the organization's vision, growth plans, and revenue targets.
Advise the CEO on market trends, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
Lead the marketing department and foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Brand Management
Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all channels.
Ensure all marketing communications reflect the organization's values and positioning.
Strengthen brand awareness and reputation among students, parents, educators, institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Student Acquisition & Growth
Design and execute campaigns to generate qualified leads and increase admissions.
Develop strategies to improve conversion rates throughout the student journey.
Collaborate with admissions and counselling teams to optimize lead nurturing and enrollment performance.
Digital Marketing
Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, influencer collaborations, and paid advertising.
Monitor website performance, user experience, and digital conversion metrics.
Drive innovation in digital engagement and marketing automation.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns across online and offline channels.
Oversee promotional events, education fairs, webinars, workshops, and institutional outreach.
Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve measurable outcomes.
Market Research & Analytics
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
Analyze campaign performance using KPIs and marketing analytics.
Prepare regular reports and strategic recommendations for the CEO.
Team Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and develop the marketing team.
Set departmental goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
Foster innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the department.
Budget Management
Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget.
Optimize marketing spend to maximize return on investment (ROI).
Negotiate with agencies, vendors, and media partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Sales, Admissions, Academic, Operations, HR, and Finance teams to ensure alignment across business functions.
Support new program launches, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
Public Relations & Communications
Manage media relations and corporate communications.
Develop crisis communication strategies when required.
Build relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and community organizations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Student lead generation and admissions growth.
Cost per lead (CPL) and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
Lead-to-enrollment conversion rate.
Brand awareness and engagement metrics.
Website traffic and conversion performance.
Social media growth and engagement.
Campaign ROI.
Marketing budget adherence.
Team productivity and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
MBA or Master's degree in Marketing is preferred.
8–12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Experience in the education, EdTech, or higher education sector is preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
