We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented General Manager to oversee, direct, and optimize our manufacturing operations at Spark Autometal Pvt. Ltd. in Chakan, Pune. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, daily plant operations, production planning, quality control, cost management, and team leadership to drive business growth and profitability in the automotive components sector.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership acumen, extensive technical and commercial background in auto-component manufacturing (such as sheet metal, fabrication, or machining), and a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams to meet strict OEM client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Production Management: Oversee all plant operations including manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, engineering, and maintenance to ensure optimal resource utilization and timely delivery.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all products strictly comply with OEM and automotive quality standard certifications (such as IATF 16949 / ISO 9001). Drive lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Client & Vendor Relations: Act as a key point of contact for strategic automotive clients, managing performance expectations, handling operational reviews, and fostering long-term relationships.
- Supply Chain & Procurement: Direct procurement, inventory control, and logistics strategies to ensure zero production disruptions while optimizing inventory costs.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and build a highly capable cross-functional team (Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR, Admin, and Accounts). Foster a safe, collaborative, and highly productive work environment.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure complete compliance with all local statutory laws, labor laws, environment, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
